Business Email Network (BEN)Email to a Colleague

ePostDirect is the home of BEN, the Business Email Network. Their list is comprised of email addresses of business executives from 420 response list sources, including publication and newsletter subscribers, product buyers, book and seminar buyers and conference attendees. Sources include Hearst Business Communications, NASA Tech Briefs, VNU Business Media, Oracle Publishing and other heavies. You can target into job function, industry/SIC code, sales volume, products purchased and so on. The general list rental runs $275/thousand addresses; add $15/thousand for most targeted categories, with a minimum rental of 5000 email addresses.

GoLeads is a Web-based sales lead service that offers unlimited access to US businesses (more than 12 million records) for $9.95(US) per month. You can search US businesses by size, industry heading, geography, SIC code, annual sales and so on. There is a no-cost trial search available at the site so you can test drive the tool for yourself. Create a list, import it into the GoLeads contact manager (or download to your desktop) and get to work. GoLeads will also create a customized portal for your sales team should you wish to extend this service within your enterprise.

JigsawEmail to a Colleague

Jigsaw is an online business contact marketplace, or "exchange", where you can buy, sell and trade business contact information. It works on a "pay or play" model in that you are given the option to pay $25(US) per month to join the service, or you can add 25 fresh contacts every month to maintain your subscription. Jigsaw points are the currency of the marketplace. Members earn points by entering new contacts, updating existing contacts, and/or referring members to Jigsaw. Earned Jigsaw points can be used to buy desired contact data or sold to other members who need them to buy their own contacts. This venture-funded work of brilliance is a community-policed model, and once you find yourself in Jigsaw, you can edit your contact information as desired. At the time of writing, Jigsaw contained more than three-quarters of a million contacts, and they're adding 5000+ every day.

Lead411 provides sales lead intelligence in a Web-based application. The service searches news articles, press releases and public filings to provide you with specific company information such as private placements, fundings, new hires, management changes, resigns, sales lead lists, new office locations, mergers, acquisitions and other newsworthy business events. Lead alerts are sent to you daily so you always have your radar at work. You can then search and sort the database by industry, geography and type of information to find and target relevant prospects. Lead411 tracks 50,000 companies and more than 200,000 leading executives. The price for this knowledge is $29.95(US) per month or $249 per year. A no-cost trial is available at the site.
